WHAT TO EXPECT

Increase your skills, test your gear and learn the most important information when it comes to drawing a gun from a holster. Our Holster Draw course is highly recommended by every student that takes the course. Not only will you learn invaluable techniques from the best instructors, you will learn what works and doesn’t work with your gear, as well as see how the other classmate’s gear functions!

KW Defense is proud to offer drawing from a holster as a course. This three-hour course is mandatory for anyone wishing to draw from a holster while using the range facility (Special Events Only). The course will focus on the safe and efficient way to holster up upon entering the range, drawing from the holster, presentation to target, and re-holstering procedures. The class will also cover proper procedures for securing firearms and equipment after you have finished training. Additional topics covered will include: Range procedures, Range safety, Firearm safety, Shooting fundamentals, Holster selection and placement, Safely and efficiently drawing and holstering firearm, Ready position.

You must have taken the NRA Basics of Pistol Training or CCW Course/ CCW Holder

This is not a course for novice shooters. If you are unsure how to manipulate your firearms or are new to shooting  it is recommended to take our Basic/Intro Pistol courses.

What to Bring: 

All gear is required to take the course. Please note that while we do our best to list what is needed and recommended, it is up to the individual to ensure they are bringing compliant and legal firearms/components to the course.

  • Three magazines
  • Magazine Holders/Pouches (Minimum: one double magazine holder or two magazine pouches)
  • Holster
Must be strong side holster [IWB/AIWB/OWB are allowed] – no cross-draw, shoulder holsters, pocket holsters, sticky holsters, ankle holsters, or belly-band style holsters.
  • 250 rounds of factory ammunition
  • Speedloader
  • Sturdy Belt
  • Minimum caliber 9mm/.38spl
  • Eye and Ear Protection.
  • Jeans or BDU style pants. No Sweatpants, No shorts, No open-toed shoes.

Cancellation Policy

Training fees include a 50% non-refundable deposit. Cancellations before the start of the class will be given a 50% refund of training fees or a one-time reschedule of training within one year. Students who are absent from any portion of a class without notice will not be eligible for a refund.  Please get in touch with your instructor as early as possible to cancel your class.
